"Welcome to Death Row" would be based on the book and the documentary by S. Leigh Savidge, who received a co-executive producer credit on the "Compton" film. The film would involve several of the same characters that we saw in the N.W.A. film, however the time period would focus on the years after N.W.A. formed.
There could be a slight complication, though. There are no music rights attached to "Welcome to Death Row." However, as HR points out, the music rights for N.W.A. were brought in only after they started writing the script, so it doesn't seem like too big of a deterring factor.
